Chaffeymoor Grange Wedding of Becky & Tom

Saturday’s wedding saw me heading off to Chaffeymoor Grange for Becky & Tom’s lovely intimate wedding with just their closest family and friends.

It was very much a personal day, and I arrived in the lashing rain to find Tom and his friends busy in the kitchen prepping the food – Tom is Head Chef in a top London Restaurant, and handily his mates are all chefs too. There was no way anyone else was doing the food or the cake!

Heading up to find Becky, I was in time for the final dress adjustments – Becky had personalised her own fabulous wedding outfit, Unusually it was separates, and becky had added a touch of colour to the hem of the top (which fitted perfectly over the full skirt to give the impression of a traditional wedding gown), plus a unique blue veil. Underneath the stylishly plain 50’s inspired outfit Becky was flashing the most fabulous pair of Dune multicoloured heels – such a wonderful touch of colour to offset the dress.

Sid, the couple’s French Bulldog, was busy being sociable, and was very happy to see Becky when she arrived in the ceremony room – so much so that he took a ride on her train before leaping onto a sofa to watch the proceedings!

The ceremony was warm and relaxed – the benefit of a small wedding is the relaxed and personal atmosphere. The youngest members of the family were welcomed – and made their voices heard, much to everyone’s amusement.

The drinks reception followed the announcement of Tom and Becky as Mr & Mrs, and as the guests relaxed and enjoyed themselves the rain finally cleared to allow us outside to enjoy the beautiful gardens.

The few formal group photographs took only minutes, and then I managed to steal the couple into the grounds while we still had some watery sunshine.

They had erected a gazebo on the pretty terrace to protect against the unkind weather, and the single long banquet table was beautifully set waiting for us when we returned to the guests. Everyone sat for the speeches, and then I left them (with a little envy!) to enjoy Tom’s amazing meal.

Congratulations Tom & Becky, it was a beautiful day despite the weather!
